01 / The problem

Event discovery, registration, capacity, and check-in need to work together for attendees and organizers.

02 / Implementation & design

Role-based workflows separate attendee, organizer, and administrator responsibilities. Zod validation, filtering, pagination, administrative batch operations, rate limiting, and request logging support the REST APIs. The application is deployed on Vercel with Neon PostgreSQL.

03 / Engineering challenge

Capacity and waitlist logic must stay consistent with registration and attendance. The implementation combines validated APIs with transaction-safe attendance workflows.
